Thousands of air fryers sold at Walmart, Target recalled over burn risk
24 December 2023 ❤ 0
Thousands of air fryers sold at Walmart and Target have been recalled due to a potential burn risk. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of the air fryers, which were sold between October 2019 and February 2021.
The recall affects about 1.7 million air fryers sold under the brand names “PowerXL” and “Farberware”. The CPSC said that the air fryers can overheat, posing a burn hazard to consumers. The agency has received more than 200 reports of the air fryers overheating, including two reports of minor burns.
The recalled air fryers were sold at Walmart and Target stores nationwide, as well as online at Amazon, Walmart.com, and other websites. They were sold in black, red, white, stainless steel, copper and aqua colors with model numbers beginning with “AF” or “FW” followed by four digits. The model numbers can be found on the bottom of the air fryer or on its packaging.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled air fryers and contact PowerXL for a free replacement product or full refund. Consumers can contact PowerXL toll-free at 888-853-9596 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., ET Monday through Friday or online at www.powerxlproducts.com/recall for more information about this recall or to register for a replacement product or refund.
